Turkey Day feast is all about the stuffing

My favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal isn't the turkey or the pie. For me, it's all about the stuffing. - 11/20/2009

Reinvent the canned green bean casserole

Every year, it's the same debate about Thanksgiving dinner: Who's going to make the green bean casserole? I turn up my nose like the food snob I've been accused of being and offer to make it with the caveat -- no soup and no canned beans! - 11/19/2009

Black walnuts give smoky flavor to this torte

When I was growing up in Ohio, there was a black walnut tree in my next-door neighbor's yard that used to pepper us kids with walnuts every fall. Spices, caramel and pumpkin power up dessert bars

McCormick Spices just sent out its "Flavor Forecast" for the holidays, which includes plenty of ginger and molasses, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice, along with creamy pumpkin and a holiday must-have -- peppermint and chocolate. - 10/29/2009

Roast chef Michael Symon serves up great recipes in new cookbook

The first time I tasted Michael Symon's food was at a James Beard dinner at Tribute in Farmington Hills about six years ago. A wide and varied collection of notable chefs had come to join Takashi Yaghihasi in his Tribute kitchen and I anticipated the dinner for days. - 10/23/2009
