DPS deficit grows under Bobb

Nearly a year after Robert Bobb pledged overspending in the Detroit Public Schools would end, the district has added nearly $100 million to its debt. Since being appointed by Gov. Jennifer Granholm as the emergency financial manager in March 2009 to control the finances of the state's largest school district, red ink is growing, according to district budget documents. - 7:47 am

No-fly list doubled since Detroit flight terror scare

In the months since the arrest of Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmuttalab, the no-fly list has nearly doubled -- from about 3,400 people to about 6,000 people, according to a senior intelligence official. - 9:07 am

With Fiat, Chrysler has new clout to reach out to suppliers

Toyota struggles to find Prius fix

A California Highway Patrol officer helped slow this runaway Prius from 94 mph to a safe stop Monday. It will be examined by investigators.

Toyota Motor Corp. said Tuesday it is still working on a fix for more than 700,000 recalled Prius vehicles, including one that raced at more than 90 mph along a California freeway Monday. - 8:12 am

Say what you will about Lady Gaga, but she's bringing excitement back to music videos in a way that no artist has in years. The video for her latest, 'Telephone,' will premiere at 11:30 p.m. Thursday night on E!, the network and the singer's record label announced Tuesday. The 11-minute clip features Beyoncé and is Gaga's first video since 'Bad Romance,' which is pretty much the most iconic, eye-popping music video since the heyday of Madonna.
